THANKS FOR HELP WITH DOWNTOWN CLEANUP

On Saturday, April 27th, Logan’s Landing held our annual “Downtown Green & Clean Day.”  We had an amazing turnout, with 106 volunteers donating a few hours of their time on a sunny Saturday morning to pull weeds, pick up litter, sweep, rake, and generally spruce up our community. We collected six bags of trash, one bin of recyclables, and more than 90 bags of yard waste, plus at least one truckload of loose (unbagged) brush!  Now that downtown Logansport has gotten a good spring cleaning, it is our hope that our citizens and visitors will be inspired to help keep it clean and inviting.

Special thanks to the following: event chair Michelle Dials for all her hard work and planning for this event; Logansport Savings Bank and the Logansport Fire Department for donating bottled water and ice for our volunteers; McCord’s Do It Best for donating yard waste bags; Home Depot for donating supplies for Cole Park;  Peak Community Services and the United Way for donating work gloves; local media for helping us get the word out and recruit volunteers; and to  representatives of  the Berryettes, Buffalo Wild Wings, Cass County Communication Network, Cass-Pulaski Community Corrections, Family Opportunity Center, Girl Scout Troop 42430, Hope Hospice, Ivy Tech Logansport and Phi Theta Kappa  honor society, Logansport Fire Department, Logansport Municipal Utilities, Revolution Community Church/ West Logan Task Force; Royal Center United Methodist Church; Southside Gateway Committee, Vineyard Community Church, Walgreens, Logan’s Landing committee members and numerous individuals for volunteering their time and efforts to make Logansport a community we can all be proud of.

Let’s all help keep Logansport green and clean!
