The Cass County Community Foundation and grant recipients, Cass County 4-H, Cass County Arts Alliance, Logan’s Landing and the Logansport Parks Department will host an afternoon of entertainment to share the new mobile community stage with the general public. The stage will be positioned at the Farmer’s Market on 4th and E. Market on Saturday May 18th with entertainment beginning at 11am and continuing until 4pm.

The community is invited to bring their lawn chairs to the free event with a wide variety of entertainment scheduled to entertain all ages for the afternoon as crews work to learn more about the new equipment.

In making the nnouncement, CCCF President Deanna Crispen, shared, “We are thrilled to be able to provide funding for this outstanding equipment and excited to offer the entire community a chance to see the stage and enjoy some quality local entertainment with no cost. Confirmed performers include Steve Michaels, Jason McKeever, The Walthery Family Band performing Celtic/Irish music, The LHS Berryettes, Civic Players with scenes from their upcoming production and the Society for a Creative Anachronism who will be sharing reenactments and  demonstrations of activities from the period 600-500AD. We anticipate a couple more performers joining us,” Crispen said.

The stage was purchased through a $155,000 grant from the Community Foundation in celebration of their 20th Anniversary and delivered late last month. The 36ft. trailer, which opens for a 14ft x 32ft stage floor, is equipped with sound, lighting and other features and will be used for the first festival on June 8th at Med Flory Jazz & Blues Festival.
