SCARECROW ROW WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Wednesday, November 4th, 2015

Logan’s Landing is pleased to announce the winner of the 2015 Scarecrow

Row Competition. The secret panel of judges had a difficult decision to make,

as all 35 entries displayed creativity and hard work, but only one scarecrow

could be chosen as the winner. That winner is the “head over heels” scarecrow

created by Starr Austen & Miller. For creating the winning scarecrow, Starr

Austen & Miller has received a free advertising package donated by the Cass

County Communication Network, Mid-America Radio, and the Pharos-Tribune.

In addition, this year’s Scarecrow Row Competition also featured a People’s

Choice Award, with votes being cast by “liking” scarecrows in the photo album

on the Logan’s Landing facebook page. The winner of the People’s Choice Award

was Security Federal Savings Bank, with 63 votes. Domino’s Pizza donated the

People’s Choice of a pizza part for up to 8 employees of Security Federal.

The scarecrows along Market Street and Broadway were enjoyed by passers-by,

as well as hundreds of trick-or-treaters who participated in Downtown Spooktacular

and the Elks Halloween parade.  Logan’s Landing Executive Director Becki Harris

said, “Once again, the scarecrows added a seasonal touch of fun to the downtown

district – they were enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.”
