Logan’s Landing Invites You to CELEBRATE LOGANSPORT!

Logan’s Landing invites you to come downtown and Celebrate Logansport! Enjoy free music and free birthday cake as we gather to celebrate Logansport’s birthday.  Purchase delicious strawberry shortcake for $5.  Pop a balloon for a buck and win a prize!  The Reading Railroad will be present with activities for the youngsters, and Loretta’s Therapeutic Massage will offer free chair massages.  The LHS Berryettes are offering free face painting, and the Logansport Art Association will be part of the festivities as well.

This year’s event will take place on Thursday June 2nd from 11-2 at the Farmers Market lot at the corner of Fourth and Market, downtown Logansport.  Carry-outs are available, with free delivery of large orders.  Advance tickets can be purchased at the Logansport Mayor’s Office, Minglin Jewelers, Logansport Savings Bank, Susan’s Corner Cupboard, and at Logan’s Landing; call 574-722-9345  for information.

Logan’s Landing recently received a free case of Glad Force-Flex trash bags to use at our next Dowtnown Green & Clean Day!  We had submitted info about G&C Day to a giveaway contest and were selected as one of the worthwhile projects by the manufacturer.  Thanks, Glad!

Heritage Fest Scheduled to Celebrate Historic Preservation Month

In celebration of May being designated as Historic
Preservation Month across Indiana, the On the Banks Heritage Fest will be held
Saturday, May 14, 10 am to 3 pm, on Eel River Avenue along Bankers Row in
Logansport. The free event is sponsored by the Logansport Historic Preservation
Commission and the Cass County Historic Preservation Foundation. Its purpose is
to celebrate Logansport’s rich heritage and to raise community awareness and
support of local historic preservation efforts.  The event will include a classic car show, refreshments, and several local organizations will be represented.

Admission to the Heritage Fest is free, but donations will be accepted and all monies raised will go toward local historic preservation efforts. For more information contact Committee Chair Teri Hawes at Savanah Vintage Antiques, 218 Eel River Ave., or call 574-343-9134.

Historic Bike Tour

On The Banks Heritage Fest: The Historical Society is sponsoring a historic bike tour around Cass County in conjunction with the heritage fest this year. Stops include the Wabash & Erie Canal Bed, Aquaduct remains, Council Rock, Pipe Creek
Falls, Schmidt & Columbia Brewery site, Little Turtle Waterway, and the old
4H Fairgrounds.
