Logan’s Landing Needs Your Help

Tuesday, August 11th, 2020

Logan’s Landing is pleased that we continue to hear good things about downtown Logansport: the beautiful pink flowers, the growing amount of public art, the new businesses and restaurants that have continued to open as we start to return to normal after COVID.

Since 1996, our mission has always been to make Logansport’s downtown district an exceptionally attractive, lively, and enjoyable place to be. We work toward this goal through numerous programs and projects, and while we have made progress over the years, there is still a lot of work to do.  And while it’s wonderful to hear compliments, the reality is that we also need money to continue our work.

Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.  Just click the “Donate” button in the list on the left to donate online via credit card or PayPal, or mail your check to PO Box 473, Logansport IN 46947. With your help, we will continue our programs and projects to improve and preserve Logansport’s downtown district.

THANKS FROM LOGAN’S LANDING

Wednesday, June 17th, 2020

This year, we were not able to hold our usual Celebrate Logansport event due to COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings; instead, we offered strawberry shortcake for delivery only. We would like to thank all of those who ordered shortcake from us — proceeds enable Logan’s Landing’s to continue our programs and projects to improve and preserve Logansport’s downtown district. Special thanks to event co-chairs Echo Cottrell and Challi Pullen, to all of our volunteers who helped with this modified event, to Vibrant Events for the delicious strawberries and cake, and to Martin’s Supermarket for the grocery sacks for deliveries.

We look forward to returning to our traditional Celebrate Logansport event format next year, and hope to see everyone there!

DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE ENJOYED BY ALL!

Friday, December 13th, 2019

Logan’s Landing’s thanks everyone who helped make our 20th annual Downtown Christmas Open House a success! By exchanging donations of food and pet items, paper goods and cleaning supplies for tickets and depositing those tickets at participating merchants, many lucky shoppers won great prizes, while helping our community’s less fortunate and supporting local businesses. Additionally, there were 11 Prize Passport winners, who visited all 13 businesses and won a combined total of $750 in Logan’s Landing Bucks!

Thanks to the generosity of the community, we collected approximately 1800 pounds of donated items! These items have been distributed to the Cass County Humane Society, Salvation Army, and Emmaus Mission Center. Special thanks to all of our volunteers, and especially to Michelle Dials for once again chairing the event.

Thanks again to our participating merchants: Bodyworks, Cass County Entrepreneurs Member Vendor Market, Drive Now Auto Credit (Mike Anderson), The Gray Mill, Kroeger Funeral Home, Legacy Outfitters & Black Dog Coffee, Minglin Jewelers, The Nest, Patten Monument, Pear Tree Gallery, The People’s Winery, Senior Helpers, and Yelle’s Boutique. Special recognition goes to Legacy Outfitters & Black Dog Coffee, the winner of this year’s Spirit of Christmas Award for the festive and welcoming atmosphere they provided to event attendees!

Congratulations once again to all the prize winners: Teresa Almon, June Blackwell, Lora Blackwell, Laurie Brower, Dianne Brown, Stephanie Buffum, Joe Buzbee, Vicky Conrad, Lindy Deeter, Joe Deforge, Mindy Eisenbise, Jackie Hamilton, Beth Johnson, Carol Kinsey, Lorna Mollencupp, Susie Oliver, Maryann Shuck, Cindy Smith, Libbey Spencer, Joan Strasser, Jennifer Sults, Nancy Vernon, and Tracy Williamson.
