THE TASTE RETURNS ON AUGUST 14TH

Tuesday, July 20th, 2021

Logan’s Landing announces the return of THE TASTE! After COVID restrictions forced cancellation of the event in 2020, we are very happy to once again present this evening of fun, food and drink, adult beverages, and live music!

The Taste will take place in the Farmers Market Lot in downtown Logansport from 5:00 pm to midnight on Saturday, August 14th.  Kids Korner hours are 5:00 to 8:00 pm, with free activities for the youngsters. Live music kicks off with Hence the Hero at 5:00, followed by Love4Zero at 7:15, and then our headliner, the Grace Scott Band, starting at 9:30.

Local food and drink establishments, as well as non-profit organizations, are invited to participate as food vendors. Please contact us right away to ensure booth space.

Additionally, many different levels of event sponsorship are still available. For more information about becoming a Taste food vendor or sponsor, or for additional information about the event itself, contact Logan’s Landing at 574-722-9345 or lldirector@loganslanding.com — and be sure to follow the Taste facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TheTaste2021.

THANKS FOR HELP WITH DOWNTOWN CLEANUP

Thursday, April 22nd, 2021

On Saturday, April 17th, Logan’s Landing held our annual “Downtown Green & Clean Day.” More than 40 dedicated volunteers donated a few hours of their time on a mostly chilly and overcast Saturday morning to pick up litter, sweep, pull weeds, rake, and generally spruce up our community. We collected several bags of trash, 1 bin of recyclables, and multiple bags of yard waste – and swept huge amounts of sand off sidewalks! Now that downtown Logansport has gotten a good spring cleaning, it is our hope that our citizens and visitors will be inspired to help keep it clean and inviting.

Special thanks to the following: event chair Kendall Gundrum and Logan’s Landing board member Diana Brown; the State Theatre Preservation Society for letting us use their amazing venue as Green & Clean Headquarters this year; Black Dog Coffee for donating refreshments; Rich Voorhees for taking photos; Cass County Communication Network and the Pharos-Tribune for helping us get the word out; and to representatives of the following teams: the Armstrong Family, the Baldwin & Turner Families, Cass County Democrats, Landis Elementary 5th Grade, the Mayorga Family, the Morris Family, Security Federal Savings Bank, and many individuals and groups of friends for volunteering their time and efforts to make Logansport a community we can all be proud of.

We also thank the following businesses for donating door prizes: Patten Monument for a gift card from The Nest, Kroeger Funeral Home for a gift card from Black Dog Coffee & Legacy Outfitters, Judy’s GoodLife Emporium for a gift card, and Nikki Reid at The Nest for two environmentally-friendly water bottles. Congratulations to the winners of the door prizes: Gary Armstrong, Mercedes Brugh, Juan Mayorga, Nancy Boxell, and Mindee Turner.

Let’s all help keep Logansport green and clean!

LOGAN’S LANDING HALLOWEEN EVENT CANCELLED

Friday, October 2nd, 2020

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Logan’s Landing has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Downtown Spooktacular event.

Logan’s Landing Executive Director Becki Harris stated “Each year, we look forward to coordinating an afternoon of trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses. This event draws a huge crowd each year, and we hate to disappoint the kids. But after careful consideration, we have decided that it is in the best interest of the health and safety of our community to cancel. We feel it is important for us to abide by the COVID-19 restrictions and do our part to help bring the virus under control.”

If you have any additional questions, please contact Becki Harris at (574) 722-9345 or by email at lldirector@loganslanding.com. Thank you again for your understanding, and stay safe as we continue to navigate through COVID-19.
